On Thursday, June 5, family, friends, teachers, and community members gathered at The Blaisdell to celebrate a momentous occasion—the graduation of the City of Lakes Waldorf School Class of 2025. It was an evening filled with music, laughter, tears, and heartfelt reflection as we honored our 19 remarkable eighth graders and their many years of growth, learning, and friendship.
The ceremony featured beautiful student performances, words of gratitude and wisdom from both students and teachers, the conferment of diplomas, and a touching slideshow highlighting the students’ eight-year journey together. Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a joyful reception—sharing stories, hugs, and memories that spoke to the deep sense of connection that defines our school community.
A Celebration of Growth and Friendship
It’s hard to believe it has already been almost two weeks since we said farewell to this special class—19 students whose brilliance, creativity, and joy have brightened our halls and hearts for so many years. For some, that journey began as early as kindergarten, while others joined along the way; together, they have formed friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
For our faculty and staff, it has been a true privilege to watch these students grow from curious young children into thoughtful, capable, and compassionate young people. Each step of the way, they have inspired us with their courage, kindness, humor, and depth of spirit.
A Message to Our Graduates
To our Class of 2025, we echo one of the themes from The Wizard of Oz—a story you brought to life so beautifully during your time here. We have always known that each of you already holds within you the power to fulfill your dreams. Each day, we have seen and loved you for who you are and who you are becoming.
As you step into your next adventure, remember that you carry with you the gifts, wisdom, and creativity that are uniquely yours to share with the world. And remember, too—you will always have a home here at City of Lakes Waldorf School.
