About the Show
Hup (clap) HEY! and CLWS proudly present our 33rd Annual Circus, The Marble Palace, on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Performed by CLWS students in grades 6–8, The Marble Palace is a high-energy circus performance and comedic homage to vaudeville, celebrating 100 years of entertainment at the historic Music Box Theatre in Minneapolis. Set within the theatre itself, the show takes audiences on a journey through its rich history, guided by Finklestein and Ruben—vaudeville-era founders who “haunt” the stage they opened in 1920.
Blending circus arts, storytelling, and live music, students bring the theatre’s evolution to life through juggling, tumbling, and physical comedy, transforming the stage into a vibrant timeline of performance and highlighting the Music Box Theatre’s lasting cultural impact.
