Before and After School
Before Care and Extended Day
City of Lakes Waldorf School offers an Extended Day Program for Toddler through 8th grade students, from the end of the scheduled program day through 5:30 pm. Extended Day is offered every school day, with the exception of the day before school breaks or when the school closes at 12:00 pm.
Before Care is available for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade, starting at 7:30 am. Before Care is available on all school days.
After School Sports
City of Lakes Waldorf School offers an after school sports program for all 6-8th grade students through the League of Independent Sports Teams (LIST). City of Lakes Waldorf School fields a 6th grade team and a combined 7-8th grade team to compete against small area independent schools. Sports offered include fall soccer, winter basketball, and spring volleyball.

The LIST approach to student sports values the participation of every team member over winning. The season is a continual learning process. Students learn basic skills before the season starts, and players are given the freedom to ask questions, practice, and improve. Parent cooperation with this ideal is crucial to its success.
Chamber Players
Beginning in 6th grade, students may choose to participate in Chamber Players. This smaller ensemble meets after school and focuses on enhancing chamber music skills while offering increased performance opportunities within the community.
Learning Support Opportunities
- Writing Lab: CLWS offers an afterschool Writing Lab from 3:20-4:15 pm one day a week. Students may receive specific guidance to complete language arts and other written assignments.
- Math Lab: Description coming soon
- Afterschool Classroom Hours: Middle school teachers provide individual student support during after school hours used to answer questions, hear and address concerns and/or assist with homework/school projects.
