Our Proven Approach to Whole-Child, Screen-Free Education

At CLWS, students develop a love of learning that extends far beyond eighth grade. Waldorf education provides a strong academic foundation enriched by meaningful stories, first-hand experiences, artistic activity, and deep teacher-student relationships—all within a screen-free school environment designed to support healthy development and focused engagement.

In our Elementary program, the Class Teacher provides core academic instruction and remains with the same class for multiple years. This continuity enhances instructional depth, strengthens social cohesion, increases engagement, and positively impacts academic growth. While still uncommon in most American classrooms, this model is well established in Europe and Japan—and is fundamental to Waldorf education.

Specialty Subject Teachers add additional layers of learning, offering expert instruction across disciplines that nurture cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. Combined with our commitment to screen-free classrooms, this integrated approach engages the whole child—supporting academic excellence, creative thinking, human connection, and a lifelong love of learning.
