Mindful Media at CLWS: Preparing Children For What’s Ahead

Join us for a parent education event exploring how CLWS’s mindful, developmentally aligned approach to media supports children in building the habits of focus, critical thinking, and discernment they will carry into high school and beyond. In a world where technology is ever-present, this intentional, slower introduction helps students develop a strong foundation—not just for navigating media, but for life, and for a future we can’t yet fully imagine.

Enjoy a light breakfast while learning about current research around media and child development, how these insights inform our work at CLWS, and how our Cyber Civics curriculum intentionally prepares students to thoughtfully navigate the digital world—before they have a personal device.

Featuring Soni Albright, media literacy educator and digital citizenship specialist (and former CLWS Admissions Director), who brings more than 25 years of experience working with students across Waldorf, Montessori, public, and independent school settings.

The presentation will run from 8:45 – 9:45 am, followed by time for Q&A and informal conversation until 10:00 am.

All are welcome! Please feel free to invite friends, neighbors, and others who may be interested.
