After graduating with honors from Carleton College with a license to teach middle and high school Science, Ms. Yospin taught in a variety of educational settings throughout the metro area. When she was hired as a class teacher at City of Lakes Waldorf School, she realized that she was suddenly able to incorporate all the things she loved to do into her teaching – science, math, movement, storytelling and music all came together.

“Waldorf students don’t get as tired during the school day because when everything is integrated, the learning experience is one big arc that makes sense. Kids in public schools get really exhausted by the large number of transitions they are asked to make between seemingly disparate tasks and subjects. Another notable difference (at the Waldorf School) is that my student’s retention of what they are learning is so much better. What they can recall when everything connects is amazing! They’ll come in the next day and have built many additional connections because they are engaged in their own learning.”
