Understanding Waldorf Education: a workshop

Understanding Waldorf Education

Saturday, September 23, 9:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. | CLWS

Are you interested in learning more about the foundations of Waldorf education and what informs the curriculum? Join City of Lakes Waldorf School grades teacher Darcie Steeves, biography instructor Linda Bergh, Minnesota Waldorf School alumni parent and adult educator Dennis Dietzel, and teaching artist Donna Webb as they bring a morning of learning, reflection, and creative activity to local Waldorf parents. Learn about the founders of Waldorf education, Rudolf Steiner and Emil Molt, and reflect upon the human life cycles that inform the Waldorf curriculum. Round out the morning with a Q&A with our guest teachers and Ms. Steeves.

We welcome all participants who attended this workshop last year to join us again for new activities and discussions!

This rich half-day program will nourish your interest in Waldorf education and provide you with insight into your own child’s growth and development. To register, please click here. A donation of $25 is suggested, but not required. Free childcare will be offered for CLWS parents.

I would be very interested in attending this. I do not have a child who goes to the school (or any children of my own) and I have worked in a Montessori environment and a former co-worker said I should look into the Waldorf model.
