Thank You for 25 Years.

All of us at City of Lakes Waldorf School would like to wish you a wonderful holiday season and thank you for being a part of our school community.  As we continue celebrating our 25th year, we are inspired by those who’ve come before us.  Jennifer Fox, one of our school’s founding mothers, sent us this message after our Gala in October:

I have spent the past month since the big gala celebration filled with the incredible love and energy that is so palpably inherent in the school and community at 25. It is almost unbelievable to me that 25 years have passed and the school has stepped so gracefully into adulthood – I know not always easily, but gracefully nonetheless.  It was such a joy to hear about the strength, resourcefulness, beauty and goodness that is part of the fabric of the school now and to feel I had a small part of its unfolding is remarkably gratifying.

I can only offer a huge but simple thank you to all of the beautiful beings – children, families, teachers, staff, and supporters from the world-wide Waldorf community and Spirit realms – who showed up in the very beginning and every year for the following twenty-five years.  What a unique gift each one has made to the life-tapestry of City of Lakes Waldorf School! And how grateful I am to have received the blessings of being there for a small part of the journey.

In our 25 years, we have had so many families tell us why they support City of Lakes Waldorf School and how it has positively impacted their family. For example, a new parent this year shared:

The difference in my daughter is astonishing. We’ve noticed a happier, calmer child who loves to sing. She’s also shown an amazing creative spirit and true thirst for learning and beauty that was buried under all the test-taking in her previous schools.

As we enjoy the holiday season, we celebrate all of the gifts that City of Lakes Waldorf School has offered to all of our students and families over the years. Join us in supporting the Waldorf education that continues to nurture and enrich the lives of our children. Every family plays an important part in our success. Please give generously to our annual giving campaign and support our operating expenses this year. And consider a gift to our Imagine 50 Fund which supports important planning work as we prepare for the next 25 years. We’re grateful for your support!

Warm holiday wishes to you and blessings for a happy and healthy 2014!

In gratitude,

Valerie Aas, Development Director

Marti Stewart, Administrator

Meg Paschall, Board of Trustees Chair

P.S.  Please support our beloved school today and help us reach our two annual fund goals: 100% parent participation and $150,000. Send in your gift today!
